The Role
Reporting to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition and based from our new global headquarters in Cambridge (UK), you will take responsibility for leading the UK / EMEA Talent Acquisition team as well as performing a high-quality talent acquisition partner role. In a true hybrid role, you will demonstrate your passion for attracting and selecting the best talent in the market. You will take responsibility for delivering an outstanding recruitment service to internal customers in the UK / EMEA ensuring the team is supported to deliver effectively. Your role will also be to proactively source, identify and approach outstanding talent, provide external insight into the talent market and create and maintain external talent pipelines.

Roles & Responsibilities
Provide day to day management, development and support to the UK / EMEA Talent Acquisition team

Take responsibility for rolling out global TA initiatives within the UK / EMEA region

Attract high quality applications through effectively communicating our employee value proposition and employer brand through multiple online and offline communications channels

Proactively identify and approach outstanding active and passive talent through in-house talent scouting and promotion of our employee referrals programme

Provide external insight into the talent market and create and maintain external talent pipelines

Build positive relationships with both hiring managers and candidates by promoting our employer brand and offering outstanding candidate care throughout the selection and offer management process

Contribute to providing Abcam with the people capability required to deliver our strategy through relentlessly improving quality of hire and driving improvements in cost, time to hire and candidate experience

Accurately track KPI’s and analyse data to ensure a pipeline of continuous incremental improvement

You will build knowledge and provide insight into external talent presence (i.e. talent mapping) to determine best approach to engage talent and steer workforce planning

You will support our Talent Acquisition transformation programme by delivering projects such as employment branding, selection skills training, improved candidate experience and new technology implementation;

Contribute to providing Abcam with the people capability required to deliver our strategy through relentlessly improving quality of hire and driving improvements in cost, time to hire and candidate experience

About You

You should be an experienced Recruitment/Resourcing/Talent Acquisition professional with extensive experience recruiting in a fast paced, commercial environment. You should have some line management experience and be able to provide examples of coaching and developing individuals. Ideally this will have been in an industry such as Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals, IT or Technology. You will possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and have a strong focus on candidate experience. You should thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment where teamwork and individual contributions are valued and rewarded.

You will also have experience of utilising qualitative and quantitative business outcomes to demonstrate the value Talent Acquisition brings. You will have excellent communication and influencing skills at all levels and will be experienced in stakeholder management with a strong focus on candidate and customer experience. You will have experience in designing and delivering projects with high levels of commercial acumen.

You will be ambitious, driven and results focused and have the desire to grow your career in Talent Acquisition or in the broader HR function.
