Recruitment Support Officer

Location: Homebased with our main hub offices located in Watford or Glasgow 

Salary: Circa £20,295 p/a (£11.12 per hour) 

Hours: 35 hour per week Monday to Friday 9-5pm 

Contract Type: Fixed Term for 6 months with possible extension to permanent

A little about the role: 

This role is critical in supporting Action for Children's recruitment by administering contract and compliance checks for successful applicants. The Recruitment Team works hard to attract, manage and hire talented individuals for a diverse range of services and locations across the UK. The Recruitment Support Officer will manage and co-ordinate the pre-employment and onboarding checks of new hires. Supporting managers and candidates through each stage of the onboarding journey to ensure that recruitment cycle is fulfilled in line with quality measures, making sure that they all have a great experience, and our Safer Recruitment Policy is adhered to.
 

This is a home working role and we have team members across Cardiff, Glasgow and Watford so there will be time to meet and work alongside colleagues in person too!

As Recruitment Support Officer you will help us by:   

-Verifyingpopulating and releasing candidate offer details accurately, taking responsibility for the integrity of the data held and shared within our recruitment system. 

-Processing required onboarding checks including criminal record checks, references, medical and any other pre-employment checks. 

-Complying with organisation and legislative requirements such as GDPR and Safer Recruitment Policy, highlighting any non-compliance accordingly. 

-Quality checking documentation provided such as Right to Workprofessional qualifications and those required to submit criminal record and international checks. 

-Compiling accurate and compliant digital files to transfer records to our systems, escalating any gaps in paperwork as per agreed escalation route. 

 

We are open to a diverse range of background and you will ideally have 

-Experience in a similar administrative role with a keen attention to detail.  

-Strong written and verbal communication to work with a range of stakeholders 

-Worked within a team environment and achieving team targets.  

-Good IT skills.

-The ability to work autonomously with multiple different information streams. 

-The ability to prioritise your workload and manage your time accordingly.
