Head of Talent/ Recruitment

We are looking for a Head of Recruitment to lead a team of experts to deliver the business talent acquisition strategy by ensuring professional end to end resourcing strategy and service across all areas of the business - delivering quality hires in the most efficient way and with the best candidate experience. This is new role to the company, working closely with all other functions to ensure a smooth and robust recruitment process is installed within all Senior Managers. Key Responsibilities: (Include but not limited to)

Talent Acquisition Strategy
Identifying an organisation's needs and working to create and implement an efficient talent acquisition strategy to improve recruitment and business performance
Accountable for the development and implementation of the VASHI resourcing strategy, including Exec, Experienced Hire, Volume & Contingent recruitment
Develop and engage teams on the talent acquisition strategy
Developing and implementing strategies to attract diverse candidates to all areas of the business to ensure VASHI is an 'employer of choice'
Set up KPIs and a regular mechanism of review and adapt where needed
Ensure the team is set up with tools and coaching to deliver the strategy Resourcing
Be the lead for the end to end process of executive hiring - maintaining confidentiality of roles and providing expertise in headhunting and working with senior external networks
Understanding the current recruitment trends and your organisation's markets to identify the impact upon the business
Developing effective strategies for identifying skills gaps within the workforce

Team Management
Provide a consultative partner approach to key stakeholders at all levels and exploiting external networks to provide external insight to influence and achieve talent objective
Ensure the recruitment team works in a consistent way and partner with HR Services to provide first class brand presentation and candidate experience from role brief through to onboarding
Delivering clear development paths for the team to ensure employees meets their full potential
Ensuring team appraisals and performance reviews are completed as required

Selection & Assessment
Accountable for the delivery of a full review of our assessment and selection strategy to provide hiring managers with innovative, digital tools to make quality hiring decisions with the avoidance of bias

Digital
Lead the exploitation of all available systems to deliver a modern candidate experience; a simple & efficient hiring manager journey and cost saving through direct sourcing techniques
Ownership and management of the overall talent acquisition budget - ensuring full reporting and provision of metrics to support decisions.

Data & Insight
Provide management information and key metrics on all talent acquisition areas to enable identification of opportunity and development of future talent strategy
Managing and delivering reports and data when required

Personal Specifications
5+ years' experience within a leadership resourcing or recruitment role a similar field from a leadership understanding and perspective
Previous experience of working in a senior talent acquisition capacity, in both agency and a fast-paced internal recruitment role
Strong relationship management skills - establishing, sustaining and leveraging strong, influential, on-going customer relationships up to and including Director level.
Trusted as a credible and confidential professional
Managing ambiguity within a large and complex environment with changing customer and supplier priorities
Effective internal and external communication, negotiation and supportive feedback skills, credible at all levels
Business savvy - understand the business strategy and commercial imperative - able to gain buy in and turn it into action
Resilient in approach and able to influence across business areas to deliver the most effective Budgeting and cost management of large cost centre
Experience and knowledge of e-recruitment practices and recruitment technology including Applicant Tracking Systems, CRM & Social channels
Knowledge of business and external recruitment policies and practices
Strong presence in the talent acquisition market with influential and insightful external networks
Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines without dropping standards
Excellent written and verbal English language skills

Context

VASHI is a disruptive fine jewellery service built on a simple human truth: something you made means more than something you bought. Our Co-Creation USP puts customers at the heart of their own product and with access to a rarely seen process, our designers and craftsmen work together with each customer to guide and inspire every VASHI piece. Customers can pull up a chair to customise their design, personalise with an engraving, choose a treasured stone, or design completely from scratch.

Our unique business model means a unique approach to product design. With a workshop in every store and a stock holding of raw metals and precious gemstones we are in the enviable position of having both a lightning fast supply chain and the ability to make products to order. Our products are all made in the city they are bought from which means low carbon footprint, low wastage and 100% flexibility. Until now, the majority of our revenue has come from diamond engagement rings made individually to order, however our strategy is to expand to include multiple products (rings, bracelets, necklaces etc.), stones (sapphires, emeralds etc.) and gifting moments (anniversaries, mothers day, self gifting etc.). Our product will range what we call 'the spectrum of bespoke' from light touch personalisation to customised products to true bespoke and will stay true to the core USP of Co-Creation and the idea that "every piece is made unique by the customer."

Our strategic vision has implications on our product function in the following ways: - House design codes - even though the customer is in control, we must establish our own signature style - In store design - each store will have the people and process to inspire customers and give them the confidence to create products that range the spectrum of bespoke. While personalisation and custom products can be built within scalable processes, true bespoke requires jewellery designers at point of sale - Ready to wear - while most customers enjoy investing time in the making process, some want to buy into the VASHI experience requiring a fast (near instant) turnaround - this will require ready to wear style products that are 95% complete that can be finished within minutes.
